Joint venture with Millender White selected for upcoming projects in six-state Rocky Mountain region
North Bend, Ore. – ORCA Communications will be providing its services to construction and renovation projects on federal properties throughout the Rocky Mountain region under a five-year contract awarded by the General Services Administration.
MW-ORCA Joint Ventures, LLC, ORCA’s joint venture with Milender White Construction Co., was among five companies awarded the 8(a) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) by the GSA. The contract is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award that covers projects in the region through July 2019.
According to ORCA CEO Karl Kennedy, the IDIQ contract allows the GSA to streamline the process of acquiring construction services when renovating or repairing buildings.
“This contract places our joint venture among the established and proven companies that the GSA knows will complete their work in a timely and cost-effective manner,” Kennedy said. “Over the next five years, the GSA and agencies working with the GSA can call on our companies whenever our expertise is needed.”
The multiple award contract is for construction acquisition for procurement of commercial additions, minor or major renovations, tenant finishes and repair or alteration work GSA managed facilities in Region 8, which covers Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.
