HOME DEPOT BACKS OUT OF CEDCO AGREEMENT
March 13, 2008—North Bend, OR

The Coquille Economic Development Corporation today announced it has received notice that Home Depot has terminated its lease with the Tribally-owned company.

CEDCO Chief Executive Officer Brady Scott issued the following statement in response to this notice.

"We are suprised and disappointed the Home Depot has chosen this course of action. Our surprise and disappointment are heightened by the fact that the cited reason for the termination is an issue that easily could be remedied.

"CEDCO is a company that goes to great lengths to honor its commitment and expects the same from its business partners. In this case, we truly believed we had a commitment and proceeded accordingly we are now exploring our options following this turn of events.

"Regardless, CEDCO still owns the best available business site in Coos County, and we still firmly believe in its value for development. We successfully cleared every obstacle during those lengthy negotiations, and as a result of those activities we created a waterfront property that is now shovel-ready for a business that sees the full potential of this location."
